The leaves are suddenly turning here in Truckee-Tahoe! Fall foliage abounds in our gorgeous mountain home, and the Lake is a crisp dark blue, light winds and calm autumnal weather. Everywhere you look, the Aspen trees are turning, yellows, red, orange. Displayed against the beautiful blue skies, the deep dark blue of Tahoe, and the green of the pines standing tall, the colors just POP!
It’s time to get out and explore the beauty here all around us- no matter where you look, there is something beautiful to see. We are home to some incredible hiking. For a great list of hikes, visit here. This list is Truckee-specific, but give me a call if you’re at the Lake and ready to get some hiking in! There are several creeks and valleys with beautiful Aspens going, and of course Squaw Valley is home to some incredible foliage! One of my favorite spots are the hike up to Marlette Lake. The trailhead area is filled with Aspens!
