Kings Beach/Tahoe Vista
Kings Beach and Tahoe Vista are the first towns in California bordering Nevada on Lake Tahoe. With proximity to Northstar, and south-facing, these neighborhoods offer some of the more affordable properties on the Lake, with a prime location. A few minutes to the Casinos, and with fabulous sandy beaches, Kings Beach and Tahoe Vista are a wonderful place to call “home.”
Kings Beach runs up the hill to Crystal Bay, makes up the “Grid” within downtown Kings Beach, and runs up Highway 267 into the Commonwealth and Kingswood Estates neighborhoods. Kingswood Estates is also considered Tahoe Vista, as it geographically cuts back into the Tahoe Vista neighborhood, although physically isn’t actually accessible from Tahoe Vista. There is a logging road that is accessible via 4 wheeler, or snow mobile in the winter.
Tahoe Vista runs just west of Kings Beach to the Agate Bay area. Most of these homes have wonderful south-facing views, and forest-land close by.
Kings Beach has the largest grocery store in the area, which is an important feature up here in the mountains! Make sure to visit Speedboat Beach just before the California/Nevada border, as well as ice-skating on the pond in Tahoe Vista when it’s cold enough up here!
For shows in Lake Tahoe the Crystal Bay Club is “the” destination, offering the chance to see some top-talent come through the Lake Tahoe area! Visit their website for line up.
